From the ancient city of Kathmandu with its rich art and cultural heritage to the beautiful lake city of Pokhara nestled in the lap of Machhapuchhre (6997m) to the fertile grasslands of Chitwan National Park that houses the majestic one-horned rhinoceros and finally to the birthplace of Lord Buddha, the beauty of Nepal isn’t to be explained in mere words but to be experienced, something that this tour does stupendously.
The tour begins in Kathmandu with visits to sites of great importance for Nepalese, such as Pashupatinath, Boudhanath, Swayambhunath, Kathmandu Durbar Square, Patan Durbar Square, and Bhaktapur Durbar Square all of which are listed as world heritage sites by UNESCO. The tour then moves on to Pokhara, which is a popular tourist hub and a beautiful lake city that has a vivid nightlife and entertainment options. Then the tour moves to the grasslands of Chitwan National Park which has bountiful flora, fauna, and fun activities such as jungle safari, jungle walk, elephant bath, and canoeing which increases our chances of spotting animals such as the Bengal tiger and the Gharial. You will also be able to relish the beauty of the cultural stick dance performed by the indigenous Tharu community. From Chitwan, you move on to the last destination of the tour, Lumbini, which is the birthplace of the Light of Asia—Gautam Buddha. Lumbini is one of the holiest places for the people of Buddhist faith. One can explore the monasteries built by devotees of various nationalities after the visit to the famous sites like Maya Devi Temple, Ashoka Pillar, and Sacred Lumbini Garden. In Lumbini, you also visit the ruins of the ancient palace of King Suddodhan where Siddhartha Gautam reluctantly spend his formative years as the Shakya Prince. This tour is recommended for family or any group who wishes to understand the blessing of nature and culture that has been bestowed upon Nepal.
