Description

While it is given that Nepal and Himalayas have always been the center of attraction to many around the world, the Annapurnas can easily be certified to be at the center of the limelight. Be a mountaineering enthusiast, a traveler, or an adventure-seeker, it is almost a must to visit the Annapurna Base Camp. And such fame is not without a cause; the sublime Himalayas, cultural display on the trip, and the trails themselves help to make the Annapurna Base Camp Trek the most famous trek not just in Nepal but the entire world.

This Annapurna Base Camp Trek begins in Kathmandu and heads to Pokhara. The travel to Pokhara offers two options of flight or drive. Each of these has its own perks but what are common are the surreal views you can observe on the way. From Pokhara, a short drive will lead you to Nayapul, where the actual walking on the ABC trek begins. From Nayapul, the trail climbs to Ghandruk. This village is somewhat of an ideal instance of a thriving Gurung community and also hosts great views of the Himalayas. From Ghandruk, the journey to the Annapurna Base Camp Trek routes along Chhomrong and Bamboo. As the tropical forests in the Annapurna Conservation Area slowly give way for increasing alpine vegetation, the views of the mountains too are similarly frequent. Passing Hinku cave on the way, the trek heads to Himalaya and next to Machhapuchhre Base Camp. At 3,700 meters, the base camp is a famous stop for those venturing to the Annapurna Base Camp. The ABC is further away to the west from MBC. After walking on steep terrain and snowy routes for a while, you reach ABC. The entire Annapurna range welcomes your arrival at the base camp and grants you a divine audience. After enjoying the blissful moment at the base camp, you retrace your steps and arrive at Jhinu Danda. After soaking yourself in the natural hot springs at Jhinu Danda, you head to Pokhara thus ending the beautiful journey. This is a moderately difficult trek and autumn (September to November) is the best season foe Annapurna Base Camp Trek.
