While some take pleasure in adrenaline-enticing journeys and thrills, some are more inclined to the serenity that comes with the trails. Mardi Himal Trek is one such journey to the Annapurnas and is full of solitude when compared to the Annapurna Base Camp Trek. The trek is truly a remarkable mixture of the natural grandiose and cultural exhibition which are ample enough to send the travelers in delirious raptures. Mardi Himal Trek explores the Annapurnas and offers views of cascades of gleaming mountains as a way of treating the participants of the trek.
Customary to the majority of the treks in the country, the Mardi Himal Trek begins with exploration around the capital of the country, Kathmandu. After the cultural excursion, the trek officially takes off with a drive to Pokhara. The trekkers also have the option of reaching Pokhara via a flight, which is also scenic in nature, similar to the road trip. The journey from Pokhara begins with a short drive to Phedi, the trail-head of the Mardi Himal Trek. From Phedi, the trek makes a gradual ascent to Pothana Deurali. The views of the Mt. Machhapuchhre (6997m) decorate the village skyline. From Pothana, the trek heads to Forest Camp. The trail passes through forested routes in the Annapurna Conservation Area and entertains the travelers with a plethora of floral and faunal diversity. Resuming on a similar note, we head to Low Camp. High Camp, the next destination on the trek, is at an astounding altitude of 4100 meters and the trek to High Camp is bound to sweat the most seasoned of trekkers. Mardi Himal Base Camp is the culmination of the trek with views of Annapurna I (8091 m), Annapurna II (7937 m), Annapurna III (7555 m), and Annapurna IV (7525 m), Gangapurna (7454 m), and Mt. Machhapuchhre (Fishtail|6993 m) on store to the onlookers. The Mardi Himal Trek then begins its final leg as we wind along the zigzag paths to Siding village and on to Pokhara.
