Description

The Mohare Danda Trek is a new trekking route located in Annapurna’s foothills and is the perfect substitute to the overcrowded Ghorepani – Poonhill trek. The Mohare Danda trek takes an alternative route up from Pokhara to Banskharka and on to Nangi and finally Mohare. Mohare itself is located along the world’s deepest gorge at an elevation of 3300m, which is why this trek will provide you with the best panoramic views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges respectively. One of the most unique experiences at Mohare Danda is to view the stunning sunrise and sunset. The Mohare Danda Trek, which lies in the Annapurna region is surely a new experience to an alternative route of Ghorepani for the trekkers that support Magar communities. Trekkers can enjoy the wonderful culture, nature, friendly people and stunning view of one of the longest chains of mountains. Mohare Danda (3300m) is the closest point to view the massive Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges during the trek. The Mohare Danda Trekking is the perfect alternative of the overcrowded Ghorepani – Poonhill Trekking./p>

Apart from the fantastic physical landscapes, you will encounter, the trek will also take you through a plethora of forests, ranging from oak to pine to rhododendron. By taking part in this trek you will be directly supporting the local communities you encounter during the trek, namely the Magar, Gurung, Kami, Damai, Chetri, and Brahmin. This is very important to Epic Adventures as we aim to promote sustainable tourism practices whenever we can. These locals benefit from providing trekkers with accommodation along the trail, in the form of homestays, community lodges, and teahouses. The benefits accruing from this kind of tourism include schools for children in the area.

Epic Adventures as always will provide you with an experience of Epic proportions, giving you the opportunity to immerse yourself in an authentic cultural exchange with the natives, as you become totally absorbed by their customs and heritage.
