Tent Peak Climbing is a journey which incorporates one of the most sought-after treks in the country, the ABC Trek. The trip includes the entire trail leading to the Annapurna Base Camp making up for an exciting affair with the Annapurna. The peak climbing, too, is yet another thrilling venture that rewards the climbers for all the exertion and grants audience to the mesmerizing Himalayan chain of the Annapurna Himalayas.

The journey begins with a drive from Kathmandu and heads to the City of Lakes, Pokhara. From Pokhara, a short drive later, you arrive at Nayapul and begin the trek prior to the peak climbing. The trek on the Tent peak Climbing journey heads to Tikhedhunga and then to Ghorepani. At Ghorepani, you make a climb to the Poonhill vantage point to witness the glorious sunrise over the Annapurnas. Relishing such captivating sights, you set off to Tadapani. From Tadapani, the trek heads north to Chhomrong. Crossing Dovan and Hinku cave, you reach Himalaya. Also crossing Machhapuchhre Base Camp on the way, you reach the Annapurna Base Camp, the most preferred trekking destination in the country. The Annapurna Base Camp sports grandeur of the Himalayas on scale unimaginable until one sets their foot themselves at the base camp. The next destination on the journey is Tent Peak Base Camp. The scaling of the peak offers yet another magnificent opportunity to revel in the beauty of the Himalayas. After conquering the peak, you head back to the ABC and retrace your steps till Chhomrong and head to Jhinu Danda. Famous for hosting natural hot water springs, Jhinu Danda allows the climbers to rest their aching bodies in the hot springs believed to heal physical pains and aches. Finally, the Tent Peak Climbing journey leads you back to Pokhara and returns to Kathmandu. The ideal seasons for the Tent Peak Climbing are during autumn (September to November) and spring (March to May).

Important Note: Your safety is of paramount concern while traveling with Epic Adventures. Please note that your leader has the authority to amend or cancel any part of the itinerary if it is deemed necessary due to safety concerns. Every effort will be made to keep to the above itinerary; however, since this adventure entails traveling in remote mountainous regions, we cannot guarantee that we will not deviate from it. Weather conditions, health condition of a group member, unexpected natural disasters, etc., can all contribute to changes in the itinerary. The leader will try to ensure that the trip runs according to plan, but please be prepared to be flexible if required.



Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu – 1,300m/4,264 ft

Welcome to Nepal! Our team will be waiting for you at the airport and will pick you up and transfer you to the hotel. Enjoy the amazing food in the evening. Overnight at a 3-star hotel in Kathmandu.


Day 2: Kathmandu Sightseeing & Preparation for the Trek

Today you will be going to various places in the Kathmandu valley with high religious values and ancient architectures. Places like Pashupatinath, Boudhanath, Swayambhunath, and Kathmandu Durbar Square will be the main attractions of the day. You will come across history and stories that will leave you in awe. Later, safety measures and detailed guideline will be given to you by your climbing guide. Overnight at hotel.


Day 3: Kathmandu – Pokhara Altitude: 820m/2510 ft Distance of driving: 6 to 7 hours of driving

A bus ride to Pokhara will mark the start of the day. We will drive along the Prithvi Highway enjoying the view of Trishuli River for the former part and Marshyangdi River for the latter to arrive in Pokhara. Upon reaching Pokhara, feel free to explore the beautiful lakeside area and relish the amazing environment of the place. Overnight at a 3-star hotel in Pokhara.


Day 4: Drive to Nayapul (Trekking starting point) & trek to Tikhedhunga Altitude: 1,540m/5,052 ft Distance of driving: 1 hr drive Distance of walking: 4 Hrs

After breakfast, we take a private vehicle and drive to Nayapul. We start to trek from Nayapul, and we cross many villages, teahouses, hills, and rivers en route. We ascend alongside Bhurungdi River with a view of Hiunchuli (6441m) and Annapurna South (7219m) to arrive in Tikhedhunga via Birethanti, Sudame, and Hile. Overnight in Tikhedhunga.


Day 5: Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani Distance of walking: 5-6 hrs walks

Leaving Tikhedhunga, today we will trek to Ghorepani through Ulleri, Banthanti, and Nangethanti. We will get the panoramic view of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges as we ascend through the rhododendron forest. After a steep ascent through the forest, we will reach the Gurung village of Ghorepani. Overnight in Ghorepani.


Day 6: Morning- Hike to Poon Hill & Trek to Tadapani Altitude: At Poon Hill 3,210m/10,531ft& at Tadapani2650m/8694ft Distance of walking: 6-7 hrs walk

We begin early to reach Poon Hill to watch the gorgeous sunrise over the Himalayas like Mt. Dhaulagiri (8167m), Mt. Annapurna I (8091m), Nilgiri (7061m), Annapurna South (7219m), Hiunchuli (6441m), Machhapuchhre (6993m), and so on.  Return to Ghorepani and walk to Tadapani passing through the rhododendron forest. Tadapani also offers an amazing view of Annapurna South (7219m) and Machhapuchhre (6993m). Overnight in Tadapani.


Day 7: Tadapani to Chomrong Altitude: 1,950m/6,397 ft Distance of walking: 5-6 hrs walk

We climb uphill and then downhill through the deep forest before entering the mesmerizing village of Chomrong. Upon reaching Chomrong, we will get an amazing view of the Annapurna massif and Machhapuchhre (6993m). Overnight at guesthouse.


Day 8: Chomrong- Dovan Altitude: 2,900m/9,514 ft Distance of walking: 6-7 Hrs

We descend on stone stairs, cross Chomrong Khola, and ascend to Sinuwa, an easy walk through rhododendron forest with orchids and ferns. Then descending on the stone staircases to Bamboo, we walk through the forest to Dovan and finally reach Himalaya. Overnight at guesthouse.


Day 9: Dovan- Machhapuchhre Base Camp- Annapurna Base Camp Altitude: 4140m, 13582ft Distance of walking: 5-6 Hrs

We ascend to Deurali and walk through the meadows on a rocky terrain to reach a picturesque area surrounded by snowy peaks and glaciers. We will first reach Machhapuchhre Base Camp and then climb up to Annapurna Base Camp, walking on the lateral moraines of Annapurna Glacier. We can see a 360-degree mountain view including the giant Annapurna (8091m), Annapurna South (7219m), Machhapuchhre (6993m), and several other wonderful peaks as we reach ABC. Overnight at the base camp.


Day 10: Trek to Tent Peak B. C. Distance of walking: 5-6 Hrs

We move across moraines and mountain passes enclosed with frost. At first, we descend to Annapurna South Glacier and come on its opposite side. A short walk through the glacier leads us to the Tent Peak Base Camp. The base camp is a bare piece of land covered with snow, where we securely set up our camp. Here, we relish the close-up view of Annapurna I (8091m) and its neighboring peaks. Overnight at the camp.


Day 11: Ascend to Tent Peak High Camp Distance of walking: 5-6Hrs

It is about 5-hour sheer ascent from Base Camp to High Camp, but the sights of Annapurna I (8091m), Tent Peak (5695m), Singu Chuli (6501m), and Annapurna III (7555m) can be seen alongside the trail. We set up our camp on a flat area in the High Camp, and rest amidst the unbelievable Himalayan vistas.


Day 12: Summit Tharpu Chuli (Tent Peak) then back to Tent Peak High camp Altitude: 5,663m Distance of walking: 7- 8 Hrs

We start to ascend after midnight so that we can get the amazing view of the sunrise. We pass a glacier and then arrive at an area with ice-eroded gulley. With the use of ropes and other climbing equipment, we slowly and steadily reach for the top of the mountain. After all the hard work, we finally reach the top of Tent Peak (5695m), from where we can get a surreal view of the many peaks of the Annapurna massif. After enjoying the magnificent Himalayan vista for some time, we retrace our way to the High Camp.


Day 13: Trek to Annapurna Base Camp Altitude: 4140m, 13582ft Distance of walking: 2-3 Hrs

Leaving Tent Peak (5695m) behind, we descend back to Annapurna Base Camp (4170m). Annapurna Base Camp is a point where we get an amazing vista of the Himalayas around us. Some of the remarkable ones include Annapurna I (8091m), Annapurna III (7555m), Hiunchuli (6441m), Annapurna South (7219m), and Machhapuchhre (6993m). Overnight in ABC.


Day 14: Trek to Bamboo Altitude: 2,300m/7,544 ft Distance of walking: 5- hrs walk

We now descend to Machhapuchhre Base Camp with an amazing view of Machhapuchhre (6993m) and leave the glacial valleys to enter the forested trail alongside Modi Khola. Through the bamboo, rhododendron, and oak forest, we retrace our trail to Bamboo via Deurali, Himalaya, and Dovan. Overnight at guesthouse.


Day 15: Bamboo to Jhinu Danda Altitude: 1,780m/5,859 ft Distance of walking: 5-6 hrs walk

We continue to descend through the amusing forest to Sinuwa, from where we head down to Chhomrong Khola and ascend the stone stairs to upper Chhomrong. We then descend to Jhinu Danda to find Jhinu hot spring, where we can enjoy a dip in the natural hot spring. Overnight at guesthouse.


Day 16: Jhinu Danda to Pokhara Distance of walking: 6-7 hrs Distance of driving: 2 hrs drives

After the amazing trek, we retrace our way back to Nayapul and enjoy the lovely places and picturesque landscapes along the way. We then drive back to Pokhara from Nayapul. Rest and stroll around the lakeside streets of Pokhara. Overnight at hotel.


Day 17: Pokhara- Kathmandu Distance of driving: 5-6 hrs drives

We drive back to Kathmandu after the morning breakfast in Pokhara. On the way, we will get enjoyable sights of the river, gorges, hills, and terraces. Then you will be transferred to the hotel where you can rest for the night.


Day 18: Departure, Farewell Friend

Farewell day! We will drop you at the airport prior to the flight time.
