Valley Rim Trekking starts with your arrival in Kathmandu. The Kathmandu valley, also the capital on the nation, brags an embarrassment of culturally prosperous sites which have been duly noted evident by their inclusion in the list of World Heritage Sites by UNESCO. After exploring the cultural heritage of Kathmandu, the Valley Rim Trekking begins through the dense forests and small countryside settlements. On this journey, you also get some valuable insight into the local people, their culture, traditions, and religious practices. After arriving at Nagarkot, you can see stunning views of the Himalayan vista extending as far as Everest to the east and Annapurna to the west in a weather ideal for witnessing the Himalayan marvel. Nagarkot is renowned hill station which provides magnificent views of the sunrise and sunset. On the latter part of the trek, you visit the Namobuddha monastery which is an important part of the Buddhist Heritage in Nepal. On the way back to Kathmandu, you can visit the Shiva statue in Sanga. It is the tallest Shiva statue in entire Nepal and is worth a visit. Valley Rim Trek explores the moderate altitude range; so, even beginners can easily try it out. The best seasons for this trek are March-April-May, Mid June, September – December.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival

Greetings at Kathmandu Airport:
We will meet you at Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport and transfer to your hotel. When you have had your time to settle in and freshen up after your long fight, you will be invited to visit our office for a briefing about your program. You will have meeting with your trekking guide and discuss about the requirements for the trekking and we will process for the trekking. If you arrive at night we will have same discussion in next day morning after your breakfast.

Day 2

Kathmandu Drive to Sundarijal (1350m) trekking to Chisopani (2140m):
Drive about 1 2-hour from Kathmandu takes you to trek start point Sundarijal. From Sundarijal the trail climb up besides the water pipes which supplies Kathmandu drinking water. The trail will enter through the Shivapuri Watershed and Wildlife Reserve which offers a rich insight into the lives, history, culture and religion of its inhabitants. From the top of Shivapuri, one can have a panoramic view of the western mountains like Mt. Manaslu, Mt. Ganesh Himal Range, Mt. Langtang Range, Mt. DorjeLhakpa Mt. Shisapangma, Mt. GauriShankar and many more.

The trail continues up hill through the forest to meet the Mulkharka Village (1894m) with the inhabitants of Tamang people. The trail continues with climbing on the forest of rhododendron and oaks after pass the Borlang Bhanjyang trail goes downhill to Chisopani (2140m). The mountain of Manaslu to Everest offers wonderful photography and panoramic views. Spend your night at lodge.

Day 3

Chisopani trekking to Nagarkot (2170m):
After having our breakfast, we continue our trekking through mostly flat downhill trail to Nagarkot. Trekking goes between the village and forest with the great views of country site and mountain. Nagarkot offers breathtaking views of the Himalayan Mountains, quality accommodation, and high standards of service. Nagarkot is much more away from the hustle and bustle of urban life. Well known as a place to watch beautiful sunrises and sunsets and also Mount Everest can be seen on a clear day including other 12 peaks. From here we get breathtaking views of Mt. Everest, Manaslu and Gauri Shankar, DorjeLhakpa and other mountains. Stay in hotel overnight.

Day 4

Nagarkot trekking to Bhaktapur and drive back to Kathmandu:

After breakfast take a drive to Bhaktapur. We explore Bhaktapur city’s Durbar Square. Attractions include the Palace of 55 Windows Palace, Golden Gate, Nyatapolo Temple and several ancient temples and monuments. Bhaktapur is also famous for its pottery. Taste the famous Curd known as “Juju Dhau”(meaning King’s Crud) of Bhaktapur. evening Fare well Dinner Culture show.

Day 5

Depart Kathmandu:
If you are leaving Nepal and not continuing your holiday here in Nepal, we will take you to the Kathmandu Airport to catch your flight home. Our staff will oversee your safe and timely arrival at the Tribhuvan International Terminal and help you arrange your last minute departure details. We will wish you a happy journey in the traditional and cultural way of Nepal and hope to see you again!
