This short cycling tour offers you scenic ride to the southern part of the valley and takes you to the Godavari via Lele; a village development committee in Lalitpur district. Located 11 KM towards the southern edge of the valley nestled at the foot of Phulchowki; the Godavari is best known for its pristine greenery. Surrounded by lush green hills, peaceful environment and amusing natural diversity, Godavari is an ideal destination to escape the hectic city life and relish nature. Godavari Botanical Garden is the center of attraction here. You can find an assortment of exotic flora which makes Godavari optimal spot for bird watching. Once in every 10 years, a grand festival takes place at Godavari temple named as Maha Kumbhamela in the autumn season which lasts for a whole month. One can enjoy boating at the pond of Godavari. This cycling tour also encompasses you through Patan; one of the three royal cities in the valley. Patan is renowned for its rich architecture and handicrafts. Ancient palaces, temples, stone carvings, bronze carvings and medieval monuments are the major attraction of Patan. However, relishing amusing natural beauty, visit the botanical garden, bird watching, and exploration of the royal city; Patan is the key features of this tour.

Itinerary

Day 01: Kathmandu-Lele-Godavari
The tour begins early morning from Thamel and will march towards Lele, Lalitpur. Tika Bhairab temple is the major attraction of this small village Lele. People have taken up agriculture as the major occupation here. After visiting the holy temple we will continue our scenic ride to the Godavari. National Botanical Garden housing varieties of exotic flora and Godavari Kunda are a major attraction here. You will be encircled by green hills and encompass through the assortment of vegetation and lush forests. Stay overnight in tents or hotels.

Day 02: Godavari-Patan-Kathmandu
After delightful breakfast, we will come out for Kathmandu valley via Patan; a historical city rich in art and architecture. Patan is famous for the Durbar Square where the rulers of Kirat dynasty used to reside. The four stupas present in the periphery of Patan built by the emperor Ashoka in 250 B.C. resemble the Buddhist Wheel of Righteousness. The city is full of religious art, temples, and monasteries and offers tourists an opportunity to explore amusing work of religious architecture. After the visit to this magnificent city, we will ride back to Thamel where our cycling tour would end.
